Wisdom at Work Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in joining our 2026-2027 cohort of the Wisdom at Work Fellowship (WaW), a program of the Practical Wisdom Project at the Abigail Adams Institute. 

Program Deadlines

Priority deadline is April 27, 2026.


Format

  1. Five synchronous and interactive learning labs, with guided conversations and practical tools and resources.

  2. Listening and coaching sessions to learn more about your school’s context and to work through specific challenges within and across school teams.

  3. Surveys, focus groups, and interviews conducted within a Research-Practice Partnership that informs and shapes the program in real time.

Who can Apply?

Teams of 4-6 school leaders at schools committed to supporting character development and school community flourishing. Leadership teams must include school principals or heads of school with at least 2 years in that role and may also include assistant principals, deans, instructional leaders, and other faculty administrators responsible for decision-making that shapes professional practice and student culture.

‍We are seeking applicants who are eager to:

  • Deepen their capacity to problem solve as a team

  • Listen and learn from colleagues around the country

  • Grow in their understanding of practical wisdom, so they can model, coach and teach it to others

  • Engage in a Research Practice Partnership
