John Adams:
A Founder's Legacy on Screen and Page
Miniseries Viewing and Biography Discussion
Celebrating the semiquincentennial (250th) anniversary of the American founding, AAI invites students to join us for a monthly viewing of the HBO miniseries John Adams. In tandem, we will also be reading through and discussing David McCullough’s masterful biography of the same name, from which the series was adapted. Exploring both his politics and his family life, we will witness Adams’ deep commitment to liberty, his sense of duty, his courage as Founder and president, and his respect and love for his wife Abigail.
Dinner will be provided.
Open to Harvard and Boston-area university students and young professionals. Copies of David McCollough’s John Adams will be provided.
