Did the Sexual Revolution Fail?

A Reading Group

Presented by THE Abigail Adams Institute & Fairer Disputations (The Wollstonecraft Project)

CONVENED BY: NICOLE TJIN A DJIE (HDS ‘24) AND SHANI AGARWAL (FAS HISTORY OF ART & ARCHITECTURE/HDS ‘23)

Did the sexual revolution fail? What are its consequences? How should men and women navigate the modern romantic landscape? What, if any, model of feminism best suits women today? If these and related questions interest you, join this Spring semester reading group on the sexual revolution and contemporary feminism. The group, which will meet weekly on Saturdays, will read books from featured authors of Fairer Disputations, the online publication of the Wollstonecraft Project. The group begins with Louise Perry’s The Case Against the Sexual Revolution, with Perry herself joining virtually for a discussion with group members at the end. Light refreshments served.
