Heather Pangle is a visiting scholar in the government department at Harvard University. She received her Ph.D. from Boston College, writing on Alexis de Tocqueville and J.S. Mill. Her research interests include 18th and 19th century French and British political philosophy, American political thought, liberalism, and empire.
