danilo petranovich, Ph.D. - Director
Dr. Danilo Petranovich is responsible for the Institute's strategic planning. developing its intellectual mission and academic programming, cultivating faculty and student partners, and contributor outreach in the greater New England area. Dr. Petranovich received his BA from Harvard and his PhD in Political Science from Yale. He taught courses in political theory, social thought, and the humanities at Duke and at Yale. His expertise is in nineteenth century European and American political thought.
Dr. Petranovich is also a dedicated member of Harvard's Kirkland House Senior Common Room.
Anne Knechtges - Director of Operations
In May of 2015 Anne graduated with a bachelors degree in the Liberal Arts with Honors from Northeast Catholic College. She directs the day-to-day administrative operations of the Institute, manages the finances, bookkeeping, and auditing process, and assists in program logistics.
In 2017 Anne also developed and continues to run a weekly Great Books reading and discussion group called The Great Conversation, which examines the question of how we should live as it has been addressed by thinkers throughout Western intellectual history.
James A. CApuzzi - Community Relations Fellow
James is charged with promoting the Institute’s mission and programs by maintaining existing Institute networks and creating new opportunities for growth within and outside of the Cambridge community.
James graduated from Tulane University, where he concentrated in Classical Studies and Italian Language. He is currently completing a Master's Degree in Sustainable Cultural Heritage from the American University of Rome.
